Monroe Community Mental Health Authority is governed by a board of directors comprising 12 dedicated members, all of whom are proud residents of Monroe County. These board members are carefully appointed by the Monroe County Board of Commissioners, ensuring a representation that truly understands and advocates for the needs of the local community. Through their leadership, the board plays a crucial role in shaping policies, overseeing our operations, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health services to the people of our community.

 

Apply to become an MCMHA Board of Director.

The County of Monroe is seeking applications from citizens/residents to serve on the Monroe Community Mental Health Authority Board. There are three (3) terms ending and new terms will commence April 1, 2025 through March 31, 2028. Service on County Boards and Commissions is vital in providing a broad and diverse perspective on decisions made on the direction of programs and services within our community. Leadership and governance on County Boards and Commissions provides opportunity for citizen involvement and participation. Appointments will be made by the Board of Commissioners.

Interested individuals may access information on meeting times, locations, criteria for the terms of office and the core mission of the MCMHA Board on the Monroe CMH website. To be considered, you must fill out the Application for Appointment located below and submit it by following the instructions. Deadline for submitting an application is Monday, March 3, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Alternatively, applications and information are available at the County Finance Office, Monroe County Courthouse/Annex Building, 125 East Second Street, Monroe, Michigan 48161. Applications may also be faxed to (734)-240-7266 or emailed to: grace_drewior@monroemi.org by the same deadline.

The County of Monroe reserves the right to make appointments that are determined by the County of Monroe to be in the best interest of the County.
