Monroe staff member portrait

Ken Papenhagen

March 2023, appointed to the MCMHA Board

Why did I want to be on the MCMHA Board?

I support people with mental illness in acute care.  I believe I can make a positive impact with my knowledge and experience at MCMHA.  Delivery of care and the tearing down of the stigma of receiving that care weighs heavily on my mind.

More about me:

Ken and Laura have lived in Monroe County for 30 years. Their sons are both graduates from Dundee High School.  Ken is a veteran of the Gulf War (USMC) and the Iraq War (Michigan Army National Guard).
